Community Partnerships
Houston Community College Outreach strives to be an essential component to the community’s overall success. Outreach services supports this vision by fostering partnerships with businesses, schools, and non-profit agencies interested in educational advancement of their constituents. We regularly collaborate with these entities to develop strategies to engage the community in ways that will improve Houston residents’ overall understanding of HCC programs and services. Our goal is to help people get in school and obtain education and training.
Partnerships
AVANCE
Works with low income families and communities to promote better parenting, school readiness, literacy, health and personal development. Throughout the service area, HCC has provided GED programs to help families across Houston.
Career & Recovery
Career and Recovery doesn’t only refer students to HCC, they also provide a wide array of services to a diverse population challenged by barriers such as older age, illiteracy, disabilities, homelessness, lack of skills, substance abuse, and at-risk behavior. Because of this effort HCC has worked with Career and Recovery on grant collaborations.
