Dr. Mary Peavey presents seminar on Clinical Research and Path to Research Career

Dr. Pauline Ward of Biology at Central invited Dr. Mary C. Peavey, MD, from Baylor College of Medicine to present a seminar on Feb. 23, at the Houston Community College Central Campus.

Dr. Peavey discussed her clinical research on "The Role of Progesterone in the Uterus." The presentation included the use of mouse models to determine the impact of the two progesterone receptors in the maintenance of pregnancy.

She also talked about her path to a research career so that the students can see what it takes to have a successful career in science and medicine.
