Community Development Sponsorship

Houston Community College believes in the power of partnering with the local community and is proud to support local non-profit and community-based organizations, where possible.

To be equitable in the allocation of sponsorship funds, the college requires that all new requestors provide information about their organization as stipulated on the Online Sponsorship Application form located below. Specifically, organizations seeking sponsorship funds for events or activities must meet these criteria and must file their application by June 1 for the following fiscal year (September 1-August 31).

Sponsorship Criteria & Evaluation

To receive sponsorship support from HCC, an organization must be able to show that it complies with the following:

• Is located within the HCC Service Area -- Download the Service Area map
• Is a non-profit (501(c) (3) organization as designated by the IRS
• Serves the community in ways that align with HCC’s mission as an educational institution:
  • Through supporting activities that lead to educational attainment
  • Through providing services that support workforce training and career development
  • Through providing services that support lifelong learning to prepare individuals for life and work in a global and technological society
    
    

All new sponsorship requests must be received by June 1 each year. This ensures time for the routing of requests and disbursements of funds.

** Sponsorship Requests must be requested via the online form. No requests will be reviewed without form submission.

** Depending on the availability of funds at the time and alignment with HCC’s criteria, a request might or might not be funded.

• Upon receipt, HCC will verify your application. If additional documents are needed, documents will be requested via email or phone.
• After the sponsorship request has been received, it will be reviewed by the sponsorship selection committee.
