Pipefitting Training
The Pipefitting courses prepare students to enter the industrial pipefitting industry as helpers or industrial pipefitters. The courses prepare students to understand orthographic and isometric blueprints, use and apply industrial mathematics, learn how to use power & hand tools associated with the industry, and teach students how to fabricate threaded pipe, socket weld pipe, butt joint weld pipe, and mechanical connections. Students who successfully complete all course requirements and associated courses may qualify to attain their National Center for Education and Research Pipefitting Credential
Pipefitting training information
Training Program Competencies:
- Trainees will demonstrate pipefitting related safety
- Trainees will identify and use pipefitting hand tools
- Trainees will identify and use pipefitting power tools
- Trainees will develop and interpret isometric drawings
- Trainees will prepare and install threaded, socket weld, butt weld, and mechanical connected pipe
- Trainee will develop and cut out saddles, branches, and miter cuts on pipe
- Trainee will set up and perform hydrostatic testing on piping system
