RFP 22-34 Asbestos Abatement, Mold Remediation & Related Materials Clean-Up Srvcs

The Houston Community College, (“HCC” or the College”) seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide Asbestos Abatement, Mold Remediation and Related Materials Clean-Up Services, in accordance with the scope of services noted below. Qualified respondents are invited to submit a written response outlining their qualifications and experience to provide the services as described in the Scope of Services, and in accordance with the terms, conditions and requirements set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The successful proposer will provide the scope of services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and professional standards. The intent of this procurement is to establish an “as needed basis”, “on-call”, Asbestos Abatement – Mold Remediation Contractor who shall provide the services of a suitable number of workers to assist HCC in miscellaneous work on an as-needed basis. All staff employed in the work of this contract shall be appropriately licensed and certified for asbestos abatement work by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The hourly rates are to include straight time base pay, fringes, insurance, usual tools and equipment of the trade (respirators, rubber boots and utility knife), and vehicles, all transportation and travel, overhead and profit. A separate rate is provided for overtime. All materials and job site equipment shall be furnished by the Contractor. Abated asbestos containing material shall be properly disposed of by the Contractor.
