Dear Neighbors,
Houston Community College is ready to provide the best in academic and workforce training for students starting or continuing their education. HCC continues to adapt to meet the needs of our students in a rapidly changing society, from improving building infrastructure to expanding our program offerings. I serve on the Rice Engineering Alumni Board and on the Association of Community College Trustees Board. This provides me the opportunity to bring new ideas to HCC that will help the college deliver the very best in education and workforce development.
Community Engagement

- TEDxSunnyside Education on TED.com global talks
- AARP 5416 and Young at Heart Senior groups meetings at South Campus
- Urban STEM Robotics School Competitions
- Campus Tours at South Campus and Brays Oaks Campus
- Teacher Life Achievement and Community Volunteer Awards
Dual Credit for High School Students
Now is the time for high school students take advantage of Dual Credit opportunities to earn college and high school credits simultaneously. These classes are now offered at Worthing, Madison, and Westbury high schools, along with select private, and charter schools. Students are also eligible to take workforce Career Technical Education Certification training at HCC South and Brays Oaks Campuses.

HCC understands that life for our students and their families is always changing and evolving. We pride ourselves on being flexible to meet the needs of our students and we show that through our many enrollment options. We have courses that begin on various dates and last for different lengths of time. Here are important registration dates remaining for the spring semester:
- 2nd Start (12-week courses) Feb 13
- 2nd 8-week (8-week courses) Mar 20
- 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 4-week (4-week courses) Feb 13, Mar 20, and Apr 17
