HCC Interior Design program named one of Texas’ 10 best
Feb 2, 2022
Houston Community College’s Interior Design program has been named one of the state’s best in a recent ranking by EdReformer, an online resource for students seeking higher education programs that best suit their budget and career aspirations.
HCC’s program was listed as number two in EdReformer’s rankings of Interior Design Schools, ahead of interior design programs offered by Lone Star College, San Jacinto College and the University of Texas at Austin. Only the Interior Design program at El Paso Community College came in ahead of HCC.
The rankings by EdReformer were made after “doing thorough research by the edreformer team,” says Digital Journal, a global digital media network with contributors from around the world.
“Houston Community College has a fabulous interior design program that adapts to the needs of students for a future-proof education,” states EdReformer in its review of Texas’ best interior design programs. “After completing your program, you’ll be able to excel in your desired career field of designing interior spaces. Students will know how to communicate designing concepts, develop high-quality presentations, and apply critical thinking to solve design problems.”
HCC’s Interior Design program has a long and successful history at HCC. Students can earn a number of certificates or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Interior Design.
In 2017, HCC entered into a 2+2 agreement with Stephen F. Austin State University, located in the small, east Texas city of Nacogdoches. The agreement allows students to earn their two-year interior design degree at HCC, then seamlessly transfer to SFA to earn a bachelor’s degree in interior design while still attending an HCC campus.
