Why did you enroll at HCC Coleman College?
I attended DeBakey High School for Health Professions. I knew there were a lot of other programs, but I didn’t feel they offered the training, experiences, and affordability that HCC does.
Why did you choose your program of study?
I wanted to work in the health field, but I’m not a very “touch-y" person. Making medications for patients is still an important way to help others heal, so I chose Pharmacy Technician.
What do you like best about your college experience?
I like meeting and making new friends and gaining the knowledge I need to help others.
What do you like best about your program of study?
I like the sense of community students have not just among ourselves but with our professors.
When you are tired, what motivates you to push forward?
When I get tired, I always remember my ultimate goal: to become a PharmD. Achieving a goal may feel like a slog at times, but it will be worth it. I also receive plenty of support from my friends and family.
What advice can you offer to help other students succeed?
Time management is a huge factor for being successful not just in school but in life in general. Also, if the going gets tough, you need to be willing to push through it.
