Business and Community Roundtable
On June 28, 2018, a Business and Community Roundtable organized by the Strategic Planning Team was convened at the HCC West Loop Campus. From 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m., attendees were provided lunch, polled and given a presentation about the current strategic planning process. The presentation focused on the importance of gathering feedback from stakeholders to better gauge the needs Houston Community College must address to meet the challenges of Houston’s future.

A Community Conversation - September 2018
On September 24, 2018, between 3:00 p.m. and 6 p.m., HCC Chancellor Cesar Maldonado, along with Trustee Carolyn Evans-Shabazz and Dr. Kurt Ewen, Vice Chancellor for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness, conducted a community-focused conversation on HCC’s Strategic Planning Efforts.
As part of the Strategic Planning process, attendees were asked about various aspects of their HCC experience and provided a platform to share specific concerns and needs for their programs.

A Community Conversation - January 2019
On January 28, 2019, between 3:00 p.m. and 6 p.m., HCC Chancellor Cesar Maldonado, along with Trustee Carolyn Evans-Shabazz and Dr. Kurt Ewen, Vice Chancellor for Planning and Institutional Effectiveness, conducted the second community-focused conversation on HCC’s Strategic Planning Efforts. For this event, the focus was more on key findings discovered during the planning process, and the audience was asked to comment on anything that HCC may have missed. Dr. Ewen presented the findings and opened the floor to a feedback session.
